Delta 8

While hemp-derived Delta-8 THC is federally legal under the 2018 USDA Farm Bill, some states have enacted laws that regulate or ban it. This link lists D8’s legal status in each state.

Delta-8 THC is one of over 100 cannabinoids that occur naturally in hemp and other cannabis plants. There are numerous forms of THC, including D8, D9, D10, and D11. Delta-8 exists in quantities too small to be extracted directly from hemp plants. However, through a chemical process known as isomerization, technicians convert hemp-derived CBD into Delta-8. This creates a distillate of the kind we use in our products.

We advise that you consult your doctor or health care professional before taking Delta-8 for the first time. However, Delta-8 THC is a safe substance, so long as it comes from a high-quality distillate of the kind R.A. Royal uses.  Examining our D8 tanks, pens, and carts visually reveals two facets of our high-quality product. One, our vape products are a light amber color. This is an indicator of their purity. Colors such as deep red or brown indicate a product that may contain impurities. Secondly, the distillate in our Delta-8 vape products, when held up and moved around, remains mostly motionless. Pure D8 is extremely thick at room temperature.

Delta-8 is a variety of THC, meaning it has intoxicating effects. However, its effects are less potent than Delta-9 THC, the most well-known cannabinoid, as well as being different in character. Delta-8 has a relaxing, almost sedative effect, especially at higher doses. It is also known to produce fewer to none of Delta-9’s side effects, such as anxiety and paranoia. We advise that you consult your doctor or health care professional before taking Delta-8 for the first time, as not everyone will experience the same effects.

It is not. Marijuana is a popular term for the dried buds of THC-dominant cannabis plants. Delta-8 is a cannabinoid that occurs in all cannabis plants, but is legally only derived from hemp-sourced CBD. In terms of its effects, it is a more mild and less potent experience than Delta-9 THC.

Delta 9

Delta-9 THC is legal on the federal level, as long as it is derived from hemp plants. Those hemp plants, and the products produced from them, must contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. These laws were established in the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, also known as the 2018 Farm Bill.

Delta-9 THC is the euphoric high-inducing cannabinoid most famously associated with cannabis plants. In hemp, it occurs in naturally low levels.

Delta-9 is safe to use. At high doses it is intoxicating. While our few products containing D9 have less than 0.3% by dry weight, it may still be enough to cause intoxication, depending on your tolerance level. However, please consult with your physician before deciding to take any of our products.

Depending on the dose you take, you can expect effects ranging from enhanced mood and relaxation at low doses to a euphoric high at larger doses.

Delta-9 is the cannabinoid that is famously dominant in high-THC cannabis plants, also known as Marijuana. However, Delta-9 also occurs naturally in hemp plants, and can be extracted naturally from them. Any Delta-9 in our products is hemp-derived.

HHC is federally legal under the 2018 USDA Farm Bill. However, some states have established laws that ban cannabinoids that are derived or synthesized from CBD, which includes HHC. To check your state’s laws, check this link.

HHC is a naturally-occurring cannabinoid found in cannabis. However, it was first synthesized in 1944 by American chemist Roger Adams by adding hydrogen molecules to Delta-9 THC. This is a process known as hydrogenation, which is frequently used in the food industry. In today’s market, HHC is refined from CBD isolate, not Delta-9 THC. It produces a euphoric effect that is similar to Delta-8 THC, but is less potent.

HHC is safe for use when produced in a proper laboratory environment. The HHC distillate we use is produced under exacting attention to detail and safety. Our lab reports, which are available here, also demonstrate their exact cannabinoid composition. Please check with your health care physician before taking any of our products.

HHC imparts a euphoric high, similar to Delta-8 and 9 THC, but at a far lower per-milligram potency than either. With high doses, a THC-like effect occurs.

Users can anticipate a mild but non-sedating euphoric high. While not everyone responds to the same cannabinoids in the same way, anecdotal reports characterize HHC’s effects as being comparable to Delta-8 THC, but with less potency per milligram and less of a sleepy effect. Those who are looking to avoid “couch lock” may find HHC to be a promising cannabinoid. However, everyone has different experiences, therefore we cannot guarantee you will feel these effects.

CBD (an abbreviation of cannabidiol) is one of many beneficial compounds found within the cannabis plant, known as a cannabinoid. It occurs predominantly in hemp plants, which are a type of cannabis plant. It does not cause an intoxicating high, but is known for its capacity to ease anxiety and soothe pain.

Broad Spectrum CBD is a category of cannabinoid formulation that includes CBD as the primary compound. However, other cannabinoids are present, such as CBG, CBN, and CBC. These extra cannabinoids are known to work together with CBD and potentially strengthen its effects. This is known as the entourage effect. One cannabinoid that is not present in our broad spectrum products is THC, which occurs naturally in full spectrum extracts. Removing the THC is what differentiates full spectrum from broad spectrum.

Everyone responds differently to different cannabinoids, but the most common side effects are dry mouth, reduced appetite, and fatigue. CBD can also interact with blood thinner medications, which is why we advise that you consult your health care provider before taking CBD.

This depends on several factors, including the type of product and the user’s metabolism. CBD vape products have the fastest onset time, since they enter the bloodstream through the lungs and bypass the digestive system. Inhaling CBD causes effects that last for approximately 60 minutes. Eating CBD has a longer onset time because the cannabinoids have to be processed by the digestive system, but has a longer duration of up to six hours, depending on your dosage. Topically applied CBD can take around 2 hours to be absorbed, but the effect lasts from 6-8 hours.

While CBD has mentally relaxing effects, it is not an intoxicated high, such as what one would get from THC or HHC.

CBD is a non-intoxicating and non-habit-forming cannabinoid.

Hemp-derived CBD is federally legal in the USA since the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. All of our CBD is hemp-derived. Many states have restrictions on cannabis-derived CBD, but this does not apply to our products.

CBD has a broad range of potential uses. Its most common applications include the relief of anxiety and the soothing of nerve and muscle pain.

Our CBD tinctures can be used in several ways. They can be placed under the tongue and left there for several minutes, which will result in the fastest onset of effects. They can also be mixed with food or drink, which will result in a more delayed onset time.

Our CBD isolate and broad spectrum gummies, dried fruit, and sweets all contain a low concentration of about 0.1 MG of melatonin per piece.

Our Crystall tinctures, honey, Regal and Royal vapes, and Joy Pets products have no melatonin. Our Delta-8 with CBD gummies do not have melatonin, either.

CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, for both humans and animals. Our Joy Pets CBD products contain no THC.

Pets can get the same benefits from CBD that humans can. Animals who are prone to unwanted behaviors that stem from stress and anxiety may have good results with CBD. Older pets with mobility issues due to arthritis may also benefit from CBD. There is evidence that it may also be effective in managing epilepsy in dogs. Keep in mind that CBD is not a substitute for medical treatment from a veterinary professional.

CBD oil is safe and effective when ingested. It takes longer to be processed by your body when ingested versus placed under the tongue.

Our CBD Muscle Cream can be a soothing source of relief for muscular inflammation and joint pain. It is best when used in a specific, targeted area. Read more about it on our muscle cream blog post.

Cannabinoids are biological compounds that are present in cannabis plants. CBD, THC, and HHC are just a few of over 100 known cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are not all psychoactive.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a network of chemical signals and cellular receptors in our bodies. It regulates almost every aspect of our lives, from our mood to our breathing. ECS receptors can be found throughout the body, and respond to the introduction of cannabinoids.
